Venison Tenderloin and Chipotle Yam Puree

We need more snow days if this keeps appearing on the stove.
Alrighty...  19" of snow, no way to leave the house, and a strong hankering to eat(go figure...) drew our eyes to the freezer.  Considering I would be working on V-Day and She was wanting some good company, we got to checking out the pantry - we needed to find some goodies for some recently harvested backstrap o' deer - thanks I-Dad!

Hot Tamales! ...40 of them to be exact...

I said TAMALES, not sardines...
So yesterday we had a little bit of a storm roll through.  Not exactly the blizzard that the other half of the country got, but sizable nonetheless.  Anyways, I took the opportunity to see just how crazy everybody gets when Old Man Winter rears his ugly side - I went in search for a dozen eggs.
     Bad idea...

Lobster Ravioli (Or how I prepare for a diet...)

Ravioli d'Aragosta

About once every quarter She and I try to bring the bods back to square one by doing our own little detox diet - basically gluten-free, pescatarian, no preservatives...  Unfortunately an impending diet for us means going all out up until that point.  As it turned out, Lobster Ravioli from fresh pasta sheets was on our bill for the evening.
